Projekt MIRA
The Akademie für Interkulturelle Bildung & Soziales gGmbH – formerly Interkulturelle Bildung Erfurt gGmbH – stands by the side of refugees. Founded by and with refugees and with a lot of experience, we are close to the situation of many people in our country. We support integration, further education, ideas and projects.
Our project MIRA helps people who live in Thuringia and want to return to their home country. The focus is on offering or improving professional and social perspectives in their country of origin.
MIRA provides support during the return process and facilitates a positive reintegration with workable assistance, especially regarding the previous reasons for fleeing.
MIRA creates career prospects
Upon request, all emigrants receive a qualification offer – tailored to his or her individual needs – and also start-up assistance. The goal is a long-term return to the country of origin.
In addition to individuals, the focus is primarily on families as well as children and young people.
Through a „return roadmap“ tailored to the needs, specialized preparation courses, access to further training and qualification offers – both in Germany and in the country of origin – as well as through a cross-border coaching program, a long-term perspective is built up in the country of origin together with the clients.
Counselling and support are free of charge.
Conditions:
Third-country nationals with their main residence in Thuringia who either want to return to their country of origin or a non-EU country (with a residence permit), or have already returned can participate in MIRA.
Emigration to another EU country is not eligible.
The return of the third-country nationals is usually to the country of origin. In exceptional cases a return to another third country is possible, provided that the third-country national has a residence permit.
