MY TURN – Support for women with migration experience.

MY TURN is a programme for women with migration experience in Central Thuringia who want to build or redesign their professional path. We help participants recognise their own strengths, gain self-confidence, and step by step find their way into further training, vocational education, or employment.

The support is based on an appreciative, individual approach and takes into account personal life circumstances, family responsibilities, and individual experiences.

Who is the programme for?

MY TURN is aimed at women with migration experience from Erfurt, Weimar, Gotha, Sömmerda, the Ilm district, and the Weimarer Land, especially women who:

• do not have a formal vocational qualification or want to reorient themselves

• have had interruptions in their employment history

• are currently not employed or only employed to a limited extent

• want to reconcile family, childcare, and career prospects

• need support, guidance, and ongoing assistance

What we offer

Individual counselling
Personal conversations to clarify goals, strengths, and next steps.

Support with training and employment
Assistance in choosing and getting started with courses, qualifications, vocational training, or employment.

Workshops and training sessions
On topics such as applications, education, language skills, empowerment, stress management, and dealing with discrimination.

Practical insights & employer contacts
Getting to know occupational fields and regional employers through internships, trial days, and events.

Balancing family and work
Support with organising everyday life, as well as questions relating to childcare and role models.
